Roles & Responsibilities
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and maintain key relationships with a portfolio of contacts (current and prospective donors), aligning their giving interests with the organisation’s funding priorities and needs at the major gift level.
- Lead and facilitate gift structuring to optimise donor intent and manage the process of closing major gifts.
- Proactively identify, develop, and deliver meaningful engagement opportunities to donors to maximise both financial and non-financial support.
- Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping and reporting of all fundraising activities.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across Major Gifts, General Giving, Stewardship, Communications, Prospect Research, and Operations to maintain a coordinated approach in achieving departmental and organisational goals.
- Guide and support junior fundraisers in their efforts, working with the General Giving team to cultivate and advance donors to higher levels of giving.
- Build team capacity through on-the-job training and mentoring of fundraising colleagues across teams and charity funds.
REQUIREMENTS
Education / Training / Experience
At least 8 years of experience in fundraising with a proven and measurable track record of funds raised.Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of 2–3 members with diverse backgrounds.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and senior management.Strong experience managing complex and diverse donor relationships and operating effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.Experience in healthcare or research fundraising will be an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in any discipline such as Arts, Business, Marketing, or Communications.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.Personal Attributes
