The Client : -
Our client, a prominent Global Conglomerate within the Industrial sector is looking for an experienced APAC Procurement Manager to lead strategic initiatives across categories such as machined components, chain, bearing, casting and stamping, including finished goods within Southeast Asia Region. This is a key leadership position, you will be responsible for managing end to end strategic procurement functionality in driving cost savings opportunity that helps create long term value with key suppliers in the region. The role would require extensive travel across SouthEast Asia region.
Additional Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive category strategy for Machined and Stamped Finished Goods, including strategic sourcing, negotiations, and implementation.
- Manage supplier relationships through development, consolidation, cost reduction initiatives, and segmentation strategies.
- Collaborate with business units to influence category direction, ensuring alignment on design, sourcing, and value chain requirements.
- Analyze market trends, track key cost drivers, and implement corrective actions to address performance and market challenges.
- Support global supply chain divisions, drive continuous improvement, and report KPIs and sourcing progress to senior leadership.
Qualifications :
A degree is required, ideally in Supply Chain or Operations Management; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.At least 10 years of hands-on experience in supply chain, operations, or a closely related field.In-depth knowledge of the industrial components supply market, including cost structures, market trends, and strategies for managing and reducing costs.Proven track record in global direct material sourcing and managing relationships with suppliers across multiple tiers.Strong analytical abilities with a methodical approach to identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex issues.Experience collaborating with senior leadership and the ability to drive organizational change through influence.A demonstrated ability to work effectively across various functions and departments in a decentralized business environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to deliver compelling presentations to executive audiences.Morgan McKinley Pte Ltd
