As a Director of the NAND Process Development Cell / Metals team, you will be responsible for continuously improving the capabilities of the NAND TD process organization with a focus on both Cell and Metals film applications. This team is responsible for developing new processes and equipment technology to support Micron's NAND projects. As the Director, you will be responsible for setting a strategy for future technology development and engaging with suppliers to develop the processes and equipment needed to meet Micron's technology roadmap. You will work closely with the other Process Development teams, Process Integration, Manufacturing Development, Equipment Engineering, and Planning to develop robust processes and prepare for pilot ramp and transfer. You will also work closely with Manufacturing and Procurement & Operation Central Teams to set overall company strategy for Films tools and processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for career development for the members of your team and maintaining a safe environment by ensuring safety policy is followed for new processes, equipment, and personnel.
In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Maintain safe environment through proactive safety practices and by ensuring safety policies are followed at all times.
- Hire, develop, mentor, and manage a team of highly capable process engineers.
- Create a culture of innovation and tenacity within group to meet the needs of accelerated technology cadence.
- Provide regular feedback to your team members on performance, developing a career plan and mentoring the team members to support their professional development, through Micron's performance planning and appraisal process.
- Set strategy for future technology nodes and help define roadmap.
- Engage with suppliers to develop the process and equipment needed to meet Micron's technology roadmap.
- Collaborate with other process development, process integration, manufacturing development to align on project priorities and deliver robust, manufacturing friendly processes on time.
- Partner with Manufacturing fab for effective transfer, pilot ramp and ongoing development to achieve TECHNODE gate criteria.
- Engage with Procurement & Operations Central Teams and lead worldwide alignment efforts across technology to improve area effectiveness.
- This position requires communications and collaboration with partners both locally and globally. Strict adherence to Micron Intellectual Property protection policy is a must.
- Engage and drive department and / or organization level growth initiatives and programs.
Requirements :
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Materials Science or similar related field.Must have a minimum of five years' experience as lead or supervisorMust have a minimum five years' experience in semiconductor processes and strong organizational and technical skills with demonstrated success in engagement with worldwide teams.Must be seen by current reports as an excellent mentor, team builder, motivator and technical expert with proven ability to solicit feedback, accept input, and analyze success / failure.Must possess thorough knowledge of Cell and Metals processes. Understanding of various integration / structural impacts and constraints related to Cell and Metals processes.Experience managing suppliers to meet Micron's technical roadmap requirements.Demonstrated ability to lead successful projects; demonstrated ability to form constructive relationships with partners, customers, and Consumable / equipment suppliers.Must offer strategic thinking within the context of the PD leadership team in topics of team engagement, group morale, conducive working atmosphere and work culture.Must be able to instill a department culture within each team member in-line with the company core values.Must be an excellent communicator (verbal and written) and excel in communicating overall strategy within and outside the organization as needed.Demonstrated ability to take calculated risks challenging oneself and others to execute on new solutions.Must be based in Singapore.Oversees the activities related to the technical support and process development engineering functions of a manufacturing area. Plans and implements the development of new and scale-up process formulas. Establishes operating equipment specifications and acts as a liaison with product design and development to ensure processes and designs are compatible. Leads efforts to achieve cost effectiveness and improved product quality. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
