Job Description
The Executive (Programme) is a key member of the Active Ageing Centre (AAC) team responsible for planning, implementing, and managing programmes and services that promote active and healthy ageing. Reporting to the Centre Supervisor, this role encompasses programme delivery, community engagement, and operational support to ensure seniors aged 60 and above, receive high-quality, person-centered services across the five Active Ageing Programme domains.
Key Responsibilities :
Programme Planning & Implementation
- Develop and organize programmes aligned with the five domains of the Active Ageing Programme (AAP) : Physical, Cognitive, Social, Learning, and Volunteerism
- Plan and execute daily activities including workshops, wellness sessions, and community events to enhance seniors' well-being
- Source and coordinate external trainers and facilitators ensuring quality standards and programme alignment
- Co-facilitate programmes when required and provide backup facilitation support
- Evaluate programme effectiveness through participant feedback, attendance tracking, and outcome measurement
- Support Centre Supervisor in programme planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Community Engagement & Outreach
Conduct targeted outreach efforts including door-knocking campaigns, home visits, and community events to identify and engage isolated seniorsBuild and maintain relationships with seniors and their families, understanding their evolving needs and preferencesCollaborate with community stakeholders to promote AAC services and build partnershipsFacilitate community-based initiatives such as health screenings, block parties, and intergenerational activitiesSupport Centre Supervisor in achieving recruitment and retention targets as per AIC requirementsRepresent the centre at community events and neighbourhood activities.Volunteer & Stakeholder Management
Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support centre activities and outreach effortsMaintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to enhance programme offeringsSupport corporate engagement and donor relations to secure resources for unfunded programmesCoordinate with healthcare providers and social service agencies for seamless referral pathwaysManage volunteer appreciation and recognition activitiesFacilitate partnership meetings and collaborative programme planning sessions.Specialized Service Delivery
Support Befriending & Buddying programme including participant intake, volunteer matching, and programme coordinationCoordinate Ground-up Initiative (GUI) activities ensuring community-driven programming and stakeholder engagementManage Information & Referral services for walk-in, phone, and digital enquiriesAssist seniors with referrals to appropriate social, healthcare, and community services based on their needsProvide case management support including follow-ups and progress monitoring for complex casesEnsure cultural appropriateness of all programmes and services for diverse senior populations.Administrative & Operational Support
Maintain accurate documentation in Salesforce CRM and other management systems including participant records, attendance tracking, and programme reportsSupport Centre Supervisor in daily operations including facility management, resource coordination, and safety protocolsManage programme logistics including venue preparation, equipment setup, and supply coordinationTrack programme expenses and support budget monitoring activitiesEnsure compliance with MOH healthcare directives, AIC service requirements, and organizational policiesSupport data collection for KPI monitoring and performance reporting.Team Collaboration & Development
Work collaboratively with Centre Supervisor, and other team members to align programmes with organizational objectivesParticipate in team meetings and planning sessions contributing ideas and supporting overall centre goalsMentor Programme Associates providing guidance on programme delivery and professional developmentSupport staff training and knowledge sharing initiatives within the centreFoster positive team culture promoting collaboration and continuous improvementShare expertise in programme facilitation and community engagement approaches.Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Community Development, or related fields.
Requirements :
Minimum 2-4 years' experience in community work, programme coordination, or working with seniorsDemonstrated experience in programme planning and implementation within community settingsOrganizational abilities with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple programmes simultaneouslyData management proficiency including Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office, and programme tracking systemsProblem-solving skills and adaptive. Collaborative with ability to work effectively as part of a centre teamProficiency in Mandarin and / or local dialects to effectively serve diverse senior populations
