Job descriptionConduct research study activities like patientrecruitment, data collection and data management. Assist in data collection from electronic healthrecords. Set up and maintain studyinvestigator files, including records of consent taken and bloodcollection. Maintain study records indatabases such as Redcap and in electronic health recordsystems. Responsible for maintaining strictadherence to research protocols i.e., HBRA. Liaise with investigators, clinicians and laboratory teamto set up clinical workflows at multiple clinical departments forresearch recruitment. Prepare necessarydocumentation for audit purposes. Coordinatethe submission of new IRB applications, study amendments and annualreports. Maintain the highest standard ofprofessional conduct and record keeping in accordance with hospitalpolicies, ethics requirements and local regulations. Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that aredelegated by the PI. A diploma or equivalent inqualifications in Science / Public Health / Social Science with 2years relevant experience. Bachelor Degree inScience / Public Health / Social Science with 2 years relevantexperience Fresh graduates are welcome toapply. Able to adapt in a fast-pacedenvironment, with a strong focus to meet research deliverables andtargets. Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills. Leadership and accountability to tasks isvery desirable. Independent and mature. Ableto work independently, as well as in a team. Meticulous, well-organized and able tomulti-task Ability to work in aninterdisciplinary environment with different groups ofstakeholders. Bilingual preferred (fluent inMandarin / Malay / Tamil). Willing to travelbetween the Hospitals and external study sites as part of his / herwork. Work Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00AM to4 : 30PM, and Saturday, 8 : 00AM to 12 : 30PM, are required. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines andthe Human Biomedical Research Act(HBRA) Only Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents mayapply.
Overview
Reporting to the ProjectManager, you will be involved in a multi-site cohort HumanBiomedical Research study. You will be based at outpatient clinicsacross NUHS, at Alexandra Hospital or National UniversityPolyclinics. You will be primarily responsible for subjectrecruitment and other research deliverables for the studies. Youwill work closely with the research team and the PrincipalInvestigator of the study.
JobResponsibilities
You will be responsible forthe following :
1)Subject Recruitment and follow up
- Beinvolved in subject recruitment, scheduling and data entry. Screenpatients based on study eligibility, and communicate the study aimsto potential subjects in layman terms.
- Obtainconsent taking, administer study questionnaires and follow-up onstudy participants.
- Work closely with researchteam, clinicians, clinic staff and other relevant internaldepartments to ensure research study needs are met.
- Able to work on tight timelines, set sensible targets andachieve research deliverables.
