Job description

To arrange everything to accomplish a voyage such as the appointment of the shipping agent, bunker replenishment, weather routing appointment etc

To issue voyage instruction to vessel master in accordance to the governing CP

To check all shipping documents such as pre-stowage plan, B / L

Handling freight invoice, demurrage / despatch, hire payment and port disbursement accounts and so on

Communication with vessel’s masters, owners / charterers or brokers, ports agent

Monitoring the vessel’s movement and performance and report to related parties

In any dispute against counterparty such as cargo damage or shortage, lay-time, underperformance and so on, to communicate for a settlement based on charter party

Clerical work such as filing shipping documents, entering voyage data into business applications

Requirements

Preferably in Maritime studies, degree or diploma or some working experience
Relevant experience in post fixture claims or has maritime education
Strong analytical, problem solving skills
Team player and able to work independently
Diploma or degree but not essential if got relevant working experience
Experience in tankers will be advantageous
Open to train Maritime education
