Job Description
Team Summary
The Global and Regional Acquirers team are acquiring domain experts with the primary objective of deployment and execution of acquirer infrastructure solutions. The team is responsible for managing the commercial relationships with some of Visa’s most sizeable and complex acquirer partners globally and in region.
They work closely with global, regional, and local teams to support the Client business development strategies and managing client implementation & integration of Visa acquirer solutions. The role is based in the Singapore Market Support Centre and will report to the Senior Director, Global and Regional Acquirers, Asia Pacific.
What does a Director for Strategy and Acceptance Sales Excellence for Global Acquirers does at Visa
The Director for Strategy and Acceptance Sales Excellence for Global Acquirers in AP presents a unique opportunity to engage with the emerging acquirer partners in the region while also being able to have a broader view of a portfolio of Visa’s biggest acquirers in the region. The Director will be responsible for driving Visa’s acceptance growth strategy across acquiring partners in the region. This role combines deep market knowledge, strategic planning, and commercial execution to expand Visa’s relevance and utility across merchant ecosystems. The Director will work closely with acquirers, payment facilitators, marketplace platforms, and technology partners to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and accelerate Visa transaction growth.
Success in the role requires working well with a multitude of cross functional external and internal stakeholders to cultivate partner strategy and to execute on existing / new partnership agreements. The Director will also need to work in close collaboration with the corporate functions, to develop and manage scorecards and targets, performance management measures and metrics, and develop reporting and executive communication formats and cadences. This position reports to the Senior Director, Global and Regional Acquirers in Asia Pacific.

The role holder will partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive organizational improvement initiatives across the product functions. Importantly, the individual will support business priorities and provide insights on levers as well as metrics driving the business to optimise performance.
This role will be representing Visa with our acquirer clients in Asia Pacific. This role will be sharing Visa’s vision and communicating the implications of the changing payments landscape to key stakeholders and the opportunities and threats it brings across the client’s multiple functions and businesses in the region. By doing so, we will ensure that our most important acquiring clients sees Visa as a critical and strategic partner in meeting their business which will accelerate the penetration of Visa’s payment products and programs via the introduction of new initiatives or the expansion of existing ones.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager
