Business Development Manager

Key Accountabilities

• Support on the shipyard and / or technology side of newbuilding projects to ensure that the vessels and / or technologies are procured at competitive commercial terms consistent with any project approved parameters
• Work with Business Development and Legal Division to support newbuilding contracts in order to ensure they safeguard AET’s interests
• Establish relationships with technology teams within Client organisations, technology companies and technology incubator or investment groups, with a focus on marine emissions reduction or carbon capture technology that has or is about to reach a commercialisation stage.
• Undertake effective collaboration with regional and functional teams for optimal execution of business plans / projects / bids
• Ensure that excellent relationships are maintained with classification societies and shipyards for continuous flow of industry information
• Lead, manage or participate in applicable business development projects or initiatives as required and guided by Director
• To provide timely information for the formulation of decisions towards CAPEX targets
• Lead and ensure a good team spirit, common understanding of team goals and increase in cross functional learning.
• Prepare relevant reports and papers for submission to Director for onward communication / reporting to AET ELT / Board / shareholders
• Shipbuilding and Technology tasks assigned by the Management
• To comply with Company’s policies and Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (CoBE)
