Job descriptionTechnical diploma or bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field. Proven experience (5+ years) in commissioning and maintaining offshore communication systems. Strong knowledge of telecommunications technologies, equipment (switches, routers), and protocols (TCP / IP). Experience with maritime communication systems (GMDSS, VSAT). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving technical faults. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams and vendors.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission all telecommunication systems on the FPSO, including radio, network, and CCTV systems.
- Conduct tests for communication and navigation equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Monitor system performance and perform diagnostics to resolve network malfunctions.
- Ensure seamless integration of all communication systems and provide technical support to internal teams.
- Maintain detailed documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
