Container Architect

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities :

• Architectural Design :

o Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient containerized application architectures.

o Define and standardize infrastructure patterns for container workloads using technologies like Kubernetes (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE), Docker, and container registries.

o Provide architectural leadership and guidance across infrastructure, security, networking, and application domains.

o Lead the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to automate and standardize infrastructure deployments.

o Integrate container solutions with CI / CD pipelines to enable repeatable and automated workload deployment.

o Establish and maintain networking patterns for containerized environments, including service discovery, load balancing, and routing.

o Work closely with development and engineering teams to help them containerize applications and adopt microservices principles.

o Serve as a subject matter expert and a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders on container orchestration and deployment best practices.

o Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and cost optimization assessments.

o Develop and enforce governance, security, and operations plans for the container platform.

o Define and implement a comprehensive monitoring and logging strategy for containerized applications to ensure observability and troubleshoot issues effectively.

o Stay current with the latest container technologies, industry trends, and security best practices, and integrate them into the architectural roadmap.

o Document architectural decisions, reference architectures, and internal knowledge bases.

o Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and provide guidance and support to other teams on container best practices.
