Job descriptionResponsible for underwriting new and existing Marine Cargo, Marine Hull and Freight Forwarders / Bailees Liability to achieve profitability Develop and grow marine portfolio by generating new business within guideline and delegated authority Responsible for managing relationship with intermediaries / partners to achieve the company goals Established clients / broker relationships Familiar with marine clauses, terms and conditions Demonstrates analytical skills, effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills Provide training to clients / intermediaries on on-line policy issuance Ability to provide technical advice to clients / intermediaries / internal stakeholders Presentation / training to intermediaries and internal stakeholders Able to work independently A team player Adhere to Underwriting guidelines, Compliance and Risk Management Provide guidance and coaching to support staff Meticulous, have an eye on details Self-motivated, disciplined Minimum 5 years’ experience handling Marine Cargo / Marine Hull / Freight Forwarders / Bailees Liability Knowledge of Marine insurance processes and policy wordings would be advantageous Proficient in MS Words, Excel, Powerpoint Possess at least the certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or any other equivalent qualifications ie AAII, ACII
