Roles & Responsibilities

Port Assistant Manager

Role Overview :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Operations Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations involving the discharge of construction aggregates (such as stone and sand) at the port, ensuring efficient and seamless handling of all barges and vessels. If you have a strong background in port operations, logistics, and coordination, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities :

  • Efficiently assign manpower and equipment to ensure smooth unloading of construction aggregates from vessels and barges at the port.
  • Oversee all daily activities related to the arrival and departure of barges and vessels.
  • Coordinate communications with port authorities to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports for all barge and vessel movements.
  • Oversee warehouse inventory, ensuring an optimal supply of materials for customer deliveries.
  • Coordinate with trucking teams to ensure timely delivery of all construction aggregate orders.
  • Manage and uphold workforce safety standards at the workplace.
  • Ensure that all equipment is well-maintained and operational for each deployment.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, including weekends, as port operations are conducted 24 / 7.
  • Perform ad hoc supervisory or witness duties at other worksites if necessary.

Requirements :

  • Prior experience in logistics and on-site coordination.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3 driver's license (company van provided for work purposes).
