Job Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and test perception algorithms for robotic platforms using data from RGB cameras, stereo, depth, LiDAR, IMU, or other sensors.
- Develop and train machine learning and deep learning models for object detection, segmentation, tracking, and classification.
- Work with LLMs and VLMs to enable robots to interpret multimodal inputs (e.g., image + language) and follow natural language commands.
- Contribute to the development of vision-language grounding, where robot links its sensory inputs with language instructions.
- Integrate perception pipelines into robotic systems, ensuring real-time performance and robustness.
- Build and maintain datasets, annotation tools, and model training workflows including data collection, labelling, and preprocessing.
- Optimize models for deployment on embedded and edge devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, product) to integrate perception components into production systems.
- Analyze performance and iterate to improve accuracy, latency, and robustness of perception systems.
- Stay up to date with advances in computer vision, machine learning, and perception technologies.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or a related field.Research and development experience in the fields of deep learning, computer vision, machine learning, focusing on perception tasks. (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).Exposure to or strong interest in working with LLMs and VLMs.Strong programming skills in Python; C++ proficiency (commonly used in robotics systems), and robotic middleware (ROS1 / ROS2) is a plus.Hands-on experience or strong interest in computer vision or 3D perception for robotics (e.g., object detection, tracking, point cloud processing).Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and real-time system constraints.Collaborative and problem-solving mindset to solve complex challenges in real-world scenarios.Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.Seniority level
