RESPONSIBILITIES

• Formulate and implement strategies / action plans for forging partnerships with universities - undertaking research and analysis of markets and universities, as well as trends and developments in the international education environment, to identify opportunities for the SMU community, focusing on forging partnerships with universities in Asia and in particular China, India and Southeast Asia.
• Advise and support management in SMU's external engagements, including managing incoming visits by partners / higher education institutes and staffing SMU principals for outgoing missions.
• Formulate, implement and evaluate strategies / action plans to raise awareness and build reputation for SMU within the global university community.
• Staff and support SMU principals' participation in international forums and networks, including the drafting of speeches / keynote addresses and discussion pointers, as well as publicly available information.
• Lead in some of the Office's communications initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
