Roles & Responsibilities
The Person should be willing to be a team player, as he will have to work closely with the Stores Executive in order to carry out his day-to-day responsibilities.
Both the logistics and stores executive will have to cover for each other in each other’s absence.
Key Responsibilities :
o Plan, schedule, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments.
o Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and courier companies.
o Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delivery delays or damages.
o Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy of stock records.
o Coordinate with the warehouse team to optimize storage and handling.
o Oversee warehousing activities including receiving, storage, and dispatch.
o Ensure proper handling, labelling, and documentation of goods.
o Prepare shipping documents (e.g., invoices, CIPL).
o Ensure compliance with customs regulations and other requirements.
o Build and maintain relationships with transporters, and other service providers.
o Negotiate rates and service terms to reduce costs.
o Identify bottlenecks in the logistics process and suggest improvements.
o Implement cost-saving measures and increase efficiency.
o Generate regular reports on logistics KPIs (e.g., delivery times, transport costs, inventory accuracy).
o Analyse data to support decision-making.
