The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards. This role involves coordination between various stakeholders, supervision of on-site activities, and management of subcontractors and workers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction activities to meet project milestones.
- Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
- Manage site personnel including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with building codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Prepare progress reports, budgets, cost estimates, and resource plans.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory authorities, and internal departments.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to safety protocols and risk assessments.
Requirements :
Minimum 5 years of experience in building or construction, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.At least 3 years of relevant experience in manhole, drainage or underground piping works at construction sites.Able to carry out iron / metal manhole installation, reinforcement fixing and concreting works.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management software.Familiarity with local building regulations and safety standards (e.g., BCA, MOM requirements in Singapore).Tell employers what skills you have
