Roles & Responsibilities
Contract Period : From 1 Oct 2025 to 30 Sep 2027 depending on the project requirement
Working hours :
- Mondays to Saturdays : 8.00 am to 6.00pm, inclusive of 1 hr lunch break
Scope of Services :
To assist the QP(S) on site to supervise the Builder’s works in accordance with local legislation and authority regulations.To monitor the progress and assist QP(S) on structural inspection on all Builder’s works according to the approved drawings issued.To supervise the execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, approved drawings, all other contract documents / drawings, site instructions.To assist the QP(S) in keeping records and reviewing materials, equipment at site, variation works, tests reports, inspections, provisional quantities, dayworks, etc., monitoring schedules, observe and comply with site safety of project contractors, and submitting all reports to the QP(S).To attend all site, progress, variation and co-ordination meetings and to keep proper minutes of these meetings, relating to the projects and other duties as directed by the QP(S) from time to time.To check shop drawings, samples, etc. submitted by project contractors.To attend technical meetings, resolve public complaints, and attend site walks and safety meetings with consultants, owner reps, and authorities.To provide full support and assistance to the QP(S) in ensuring that their instructions are communicated effectively, and works are being carried out in accordance with instructions from time to time.To assist the QP(S) in the review of project contractor’s proposed method statement and working procedure and to verify that they are properly executed on site.To assist the QP(S) to verify the works done and variations claimed by project contractor in their request for progress payments.To check all drawings and specifications for discrepancies and report to the QP(S).To ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner and inspect completed works and report on defects.To assist the QP(S) to prepare site instruction to project contractor as well as list of defects of any completed works. For the avoidance of doubt, he shall not issue instructionsinvolving cost or time to project contractor.
To assist consultants in handover, pre-TOP inspections, DLP documentation and to maintain recordsAny other duties stipulated in the Building Control Act and required by BCA.To carry out regular site checks on Builder and ensure compliance on health and work safety in accordance with MOM.Qualifications, Skills and Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Civil & Structural Engineer, with at least 3 years in site supervising works precast and post-tensioning and on projects of similar size and complexity, particularly major building construction.Accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.Be conversant with statutory codes and site supervision requirements, quality control procedures, construction administration, and submission of progress reports.Good understanding in construction drawings and familiar with Singapore Building Control Act and Construction Regulations.Tell employers what skills you have
