Operations Manager (Warehouse & Facilities)
Are you a highly organized, results-driven professional with deep expertise in warehouse operations , logistics, and facility management? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to take the lead in overseeing our complete operational landscape, ensuring peak efficiency, quality, and compliance across our logistics and facility sites.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of warehouse operations, logistics planning, facility maintenance, and administrative duties.
I. Warehouse Operations & Logistics
- Warehouse Management : Plan and schedule manpower to meet daily operational needs; manage and resolve staff interpersonal and performance issues.
- Processes and SOPs : Establish, review, and improve Standard Operating Procedures ( SOPs ); ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Budget & Cost Control : Manage the overall warehouse operation budget and monitor expenses for cost control and optimal resource utilization.
- Quality Control (QC) : Oversee the inspection of incoming and outgoing goods; maintain proper documentation and full traceability .
- External Logistics Coordination : Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers for timely deliveries and liaise with transport partners for container scheduling.
- Internal Delivery Management : Plan and assign daily delivery routes and schedules , optimizing routes and minimizing costs.
- Container Management : Manage container arrival, departure, deconflict schedule, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Storage Rental Services : Handle sales enquiries , negotiate contracts, prepare monthly billing, and coordinate closely with customers (inventory, container movements).
- Supplier and Contractor Management : Coordinate with service providers for scheduled maintenance / repairs; manage vendor relationships and ensure service quality.
- Inventory Control : Oversee and verify records for all inventory movements (incoming / outgoing goods, shipments, stock on hand). Monitor and manage expiring stock, inventory write-offs, and transfers.
II. Facilities Maintenance
Site Management : Oversee and manage the warehouse and office sites.Compliance & Infrastructure : Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance , repairs, and safety checks; ensure facility compliance with all regulatory and safety standards .III. Administration & Compliance
Invoice and Payroll : Verify and approve invoices (shipments, logistics, equipment); ensure timely and accurate overtime submission .Licensing and Regulatory Compliance : Monitor and ensure timely renewal of all necessary licenses and certifications (SFA, BCA, LEW, PTO, etc.).Vehicle and Transportation : Oversee licensing and documentation for all company vehicles (VPC, HV Parking, Insurances, Road tax).Regulatory Submission : Manage and execute required regulatory submissions (WMS, PUB waste output, MOM Risk Assessment, SCDF).Requirements and Compensation
Salary Range : S$3,800 – S$5,500 (Commensurate with experience)
Required Experience : Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in Operations, Logistics, or Warehouse Management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications : Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering. Strong knowledge of WMS and familiarity with local regulatory standards.
Key Competencies : Strong leadership, budget management, negotiation, problem-solving, and able to work under pressure.
