About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and involves working closely with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Technology to deliver high-quality regulatory reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the key liaison between business and technology teams for regulatory reporting initiatives.
- Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements (e.g. MAS, APRA, HKMA, ECB, PRA, EMIR, MiFID, Dodd-Frank, etc.).
- Translate complex business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, workflows, and data mapping.
- Participate in solution design, test planning, UAT coordination, and post-implementation reviews.
- Validate data integrity and completeness across various regulatory reports.
- Monitor reporting performance and accuracy, and support audits and regulatory inspections.
- Contribute to process improvements and control enhancements to mitigate reporting risk.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.10+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, with a strong focus on regulatory reporting.Knowledge of banking / financial services products and services.Familiarity with regulatory regimes (e.g. Basel III, MAS 610 / 649, SFTR, HKMA returns, etc.).Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau).Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and testing practices.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with regulatory reporting platforms (e.g. AxiomSL, Moody’s, Wolters Kluwer).Professional certifications (e.g. FRM, CFA, ICA, CBAP) are a plus.Understanding of data architecture, data governance, and controls.We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified / contacted.
