Job Title / Position :

Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Process modelling, Technoeconomic assessment and Life cycle analysis)

Job Purpose / Objective of the Position :

You will be working in the Proteins4Singapore (P4S) programme, a comprehensive research programme with renowned scientists of plant and food technology, food chemistry, and business sustainability. Interdisciplinary teams will generate state-of-the-art methods and techniques to ensure a sustainable protein supply in highly urbanized environments.

The focus of research is on the evaluation of alternative protein production processes. We will establish total value assessments of protein supply chains for technologies developed from this project as well as for the major existing animal and plant-based sources of protein. The key methodologies used in this project are process modelling, techno-economic analysis (TEA), life cycle assessment / analysis (LCA), and supply chain analysis. The project will be at the interface of food sciences, process modelling, TEA, LCA, and supply chain optimization.

This is a fixed term contract until March 2027.
