Assistant Chartering Manager

Responsibilities

Support in identifying commercial opportunities and

handling voyage execution in the allocated region.

Assist in selecting voyages that maximise revenue while

ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Establish and maintain strong partnerships with

customers, brokers, and vessel owners.

Research market developments and assess freight movements

to aid in shaping commercial strategies.

Work

closely with Operations and Commercial teams to ensure effective

chartering execution.

Prepare accurate voyage

estimations and provide support in charter party

negotiations.

Oversee the progress of charter

activities and provide regular performance updates to the

team.

Requirements

Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, or a

related field.

3-5 years of relevant

experience in dry bulk chartering or cargo operations (experience

in Supramax / Handymax segment preferred).

Solid

understanding of chartering practices, shipping documentation, and

charter party terms.

Strong numerical ability

and analytical mindset with keen attention to accuracy.

Capable of performing well under pressure in a dynamic

work environment.

Effective communication and

relationship-building skills.
