SCHOLAR DEVELOPMENT AND CARE EXECUTIVE
=DREAMS (Singapore) Limited is a first-of-its-kind secular, co-ed weekday residential model that provides after-school academic and holistic support to promising and aspiring children from low-income households. She aims to empower them to dream of a future where they are not limited by family circumstances.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Scholar Development and Care Executive . This individual will be responsible for the scholar’s continuous development, care, learning and safety. The successful candidate will also have a passion for equity and social mobility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coaching and holistic development for goal attainment
Support youths in their holistic development, motivate and build up their aspirationsConduct interviews, home / school visits to get to know the youths, families, schools, and other supporting partnersDevelop individualised care plan for each youthDevelop an achievable behavioural implementation plan and be ready to nurture, nudge and disciplineEffectively plans for interactions and activities as learning opportunitiesConduct weekly / fortnightly engagements with youths to scaffold towards goalsMonitor and review quarterly with youth, families, schools and other supporting partnersFamily, and partnerships
Collaborate and coordinate with staff, families, schools and other social partnersAssess risks / needs and consult the Lead, Social Worker, CounsellorTake turns with the team to organise family / community eventsConduct semesterly conferences / visits to home / schoolsAdministration and operations
Document relevant information on the scholar management system in a timely mannerSupport in =Dreams programmes and other organisational activitiesEvening work hours required because the youths only return to campus after schoolQUALIFICATIONS
Diploma or degree in any fields3 years of experience in engaging youths and / or experience in coaching and mentoringPatient, committed and value building authentic relationships with diverse communities, families and professionalsGood communication and interpersonal skillsBe a strong team playerAble to discern and make good judgementsReady to laugh at oneself and with others; believes in teaching one to fish and not giving the fishExperience working with children, youth and low-income families is preferredOnly shortlisted candidate will be contacted.
