Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary :
The Supply Chain Senior Executive is responsible for executing and coordinating key supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier coordination. This role ensures that materials and products flow efficiently and cost-effectively from suppliers to end customers, while meeting stringent industry standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, GDP). The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing operational supply chain tasks.
Key Responsibilities :
Procurement & Vendor Management :
- Source materials and services from approved suppliers.
- Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure supplier compliance including temperature control.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and support regular performance reviews as needed.
Inventory Management & Demand Planning :
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.Implement inventory control procedures, monitor batch traceability and shelf-life.Collaborate with Sales teams to forecast demand and plan accordingly.Assist in conducting periodic stock audits and resolving discrepancies.Logistics & Distribution :
Coordinate transportation and shipping schedules for inbound and outbound goods, ensuring timely delivery.Follow-up on quotations with freight forwarders.Manage shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork (if applicable).Coordinate QA release process as required.Process payments for purchases and logistics services.Ensure compliance to GXP, or other regulatory and quality standards.Data Management & Reporting :
Perform month end inventory reconciliation and maintain accurate inventory records in supply chain files and ERP systems.Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, stock status, vendor metrics (as required), project updates.Track and report on procurement spend, freight costs vs budget.Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g. QA, Finance, RA, Sales etc) and 3PL to ensure supply chain alignment and strategy.Support new product launches, sourcing transitions or artwork changes.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.More than 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics operations.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Tell employers what skills you have
