Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Trade Finance Executive to support end-to-end trade financing activities in a fast-paced commodities environment. This role works closely with internal teams, traders, and banking partners to ensure smooth execution of trade transactions while maintaining compliance with contractual and financial requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with operations, trading teams, and financial institutions to manage trade finance instruments, including letters of credit (L / Cs), standby L / Cs, and financing arrangements.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of trade documentation with sales and purchase contracts.
- Monitor ongoing trades and escalate issues promptly to relevant stakeholders.
- Engage with banks to manage RMAs, confirmations, and discounting quotes.
- Prepare monthly and annual financing plans for assigned trades.
- Support traders in handling margin calls, payments, and related financing requirements.
Requirements
Solid understanding of trade finance products and financial terminology.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Working knowledge of UCP and Incoterms.Commodity experience (base metals preferred, but energy products such as coal, oil, or LNG will be considered).Experience liaising with banks will be an advantage.Strong attention to detail, proactive, and able to perform under pressure.Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.Able to prioritise and multi-task in a dynamic work environment.Please contact Brendan Low or email your CV directly in Word format to brendan@theedgepartnership.com
