Summary
To lead and manage the
quality assurance and food safety functions to ensure compliance
with regulatory, customer, and company standards. The Quality
Manager will oversee the implementation and maintenance of food
safety programs, drive continuous improvement in product quality,
and manage internal and external audits

Key
Responsibilities : Lead
the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of
quality systems (e.g. HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000,
GMP).
Ensure compliance with food safety
regulations, customer requirements, and internal quality
standards.
Oversee quality control procedures,
including raw material inspections, in-process checks, and finished
product testing.
Lead and manage the quality
assurance team, including training, performance evaluation, and
development.
Investigate customer complaints,
non-conformities, and deviations; implement corrective and
preventive actions.
Coordinate and lead
external audits (e.g. SFA, third-party certifications, customer
audits) and ensure audit readiness at all times.
Manage documentation and record-keeping systems related
to quality and food safety.
Analyze quality
data and trends; generate reports and drive initiatives to reduce
product defects and improve consistency.
Collaborate with production, R&D, procurement, and
other departments to ensure product quality throughout the supply
chain.
Ensure proper calibration and
maintenance of quality testing
equipment.
Qualifications
and
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology,
Microbiology, or a related field.
At least 5-8
years of experience in a quality or food safety role, preferably in
food manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of food
safety regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g. HACCP, GMP,
ISO, FSSC).
Experience with regulatory
authorities such as SFA, AVA, or relevant international
bodies.
Excellent problem-solving,
communication, and leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management
systems.
Detail-oriented with strong
analytical and organizational
abilities.
Preferred
Skills
(Optional) :
Lead auditor certification for ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, or
related standards.
Experience in handling
export requirements and international food safety
regulations.
Familiarity with Lean or Six
Sigma tools for quality improvement.
