Roles & Responsibilities

This dynamic and fast-growing LNG trading company, with a strong presence in international LNG markets, is expanding its business and seeking an experienced LNG Charterer to join its Singapore team.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to Head of Shipping. The LNG Charterer will be responsible for developing and executing shipping strategies to support LNG trading activities, including negotiating and concluding charter agreements, optimizing vessel utilization, and coordinating logistics with internal teams. The role involves monitoring freight markets, maintaining strong relationships with shipowners and brokers, and providing market intelligence to inform commercial decisions. Additionally, the LNG Charterer will manage contractual and operational risks, ensure compliance with agreements, and contribute to the company’s overall shipping and trading performance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree shipping, maritime studies, or a related field, with 3 - 6 years of experience in LNG chartering, shipping, or freight trading. They should possess solid knowledge of LNG shipping markets, vessel operations, and charter party agreements, along with proven negotiation and deal execution skills.
