Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled VMware Consultant with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting VMware VCF solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in VMware VCF environments along with good knowledge of related infrastructure technologies (storage, networking, backup, and cloud integrations). This role requires both technical depth and client-facing communication skills to deliver high-quality virtualization solutions and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure VCF components including SDDC Manager, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vRealize Suite integrations.
- Perform lifecycle management tasks such as patching, upgrades, and configuration management using SDDC Manager.
- Configure workload domains (VI, VDI, or Management) for specific use cases.
- Monitor, manage, and maintain VCF infrastructure across compute, storage, and networking layers.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Manage role-based access control and integrate with enterprise identity providers.
- Configure and manage NSX for micro-segmentation, distributed firewalls, and north-south connectivity.
- Work on L2 / L3 networking design for VCF workload domains and multi-site deployments.
- Collaborate with network / security teams for integration with physical infrastructure.
- Enable hybrid cloud models with VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, or other hyperscaler integrations.
- Support container platforms (Tanzu Kubernetes Grid) within VCF.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues across the full VCF stack (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager).
- Document processes, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Document solutions, processes, and best practices for internal teams and clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure modernization and cloud adoption initiatives.
- Provide technical consultation and advisory services to clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–5 years of experience working as a VMware Consultant / Engineer / Administrator.VMware certifications (VCP-DCV, VCP-NV, VCAP, or higher) highly desirable.Good communication and client-facing skills.Tell employers what skills you have
