Job Description
We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Director to oversee the overall operations and business development of our trading company based in Singapore. The Director will play a pivotal role in formulating strategies, expanding the company’s trading portfolio, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with local and international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s strategic trading plans in line with business objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive expansion into new markets.
- Manage and monitor trading activities, contracts, procurement, and logistics operations.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers, customers, and business partners to secure favourable terms.
- Ensure full compliance with Singapore trade regulations, international trade laws, and internal company policies.
- Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
- Build, lead and mentor cross-functional teams, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.
- Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including banks, shipping companies and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
MA in International Affairs; BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences; or a degree in Business, International Trade, Finance, or a related discipline.Experience
At least 10 years of relevant experience in trading or related industries, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.Proven track record in business development, trading operations, and managing Profit and Loss.Other Information
