Tooling Engineer (Metal Stamping) - WECRUIT PTE. LTD.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the toolmaking team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Provide technical tooling support to T&D and production lines to meet technical and quality standards.
• Support tool design and sales teams in fulfilling customer requirements.
• Assist the tooling supervisor in ensuring tool readiness to support production schedules.
• Coordinate with production and planning teams to prioritize schedules based on tooling status.
• Work with the Design department to improve tools for higher efficiency and output.
• Lead the tooling team in problem-solving, identifying issues, and performing root cause analysis.
• Drive and support continuous improvements in tooling and work processes.
• Coordinate with the toolroom on machining needs for tooling modifications and improvement programs.
• Assist in managing the tooling group to optimize resource allocation and departmental performance.
• Train, mentor, and guide toolmakers to enhance skills and capabilities.
• Act on behalf of the Principal Engineer in their absence.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors or management.
