Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview
You will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and maintaining compliance with both local and group regulations. Working closely with your team, you will manage monthly closings, financial analysis, statutory reporting, budgeting, and payroll processes. The role also involves building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and the Shared Service Centre, while driving continuous improvement in finance processes and internal controls to enhance the organization’s financial performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly closings, including accruals, account and intercompany matching, cash forecasts, and reporting to Head Office in Marseille
- Prepare management variance analysis and consolidated financial reports for Head Office in France
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations in all financial activities
- Prepare annual statutory accounts and audit documentation; liaise with auditors as needed
- Coordinate with external advisors (tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, regulatory authorities) for finance and legal reporting (e.g., GST)
- Assist in annual budget preparation and financial planning
- Conduct analytical reviews to identify cost-reduction opportunities and improve efficiency
- Ensure timely and CSR-compliant management of customer and supplier payments
- Serve as primary contact for banking matters and liaison with RO treasury
- Review and enhance finance processes and internal controls to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams (Payroll, Crewing, Ship Management) and external partners (manning agencies, CMA Ships SAS) to support financial performance
- Oversee the Shared Service Centre accounting team, ensuring daily AP and GL tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, with proper guidance
What We’re Looking For :
