Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly professional and culturally aware Front-of-House Manager to oversee guest relations, reservations, and the overall dining experience in a high-end Chinese fine dining setting. The ideal candidate will ensure that every guest receives warm, attentive, and culturally sensitive service from arrival to departure, while maintaining the prestige of our dining standards.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Greet and welcome guests with courtesy and professionalism.
- Ensure personalized and attentive service throughout the dining experience.
- Supervise hosts, servers, and service captains to uphold luxury service protocols.
- Manage VIP and regular guest preferences, including dietary or cultural needs.
2. Reservations & Booking Management
Oversee all reservations (via phone, online platforms, or concierge services).Manage table allocations to optimize seating and guest flow.Confirm and coordinate large bookings, private dining, and special events.Maintain a detailed guest database (CRM), noting preferences, occasions, etc.3. Cultural Awareness & Presentation
Ensure staff are trained in Chinese dining etiquette, tea service, and guest interaction.Liaise with kitchen to align service timing and menu knowledge (e.g., order of courses, hot towel service, banquet-style timing).Oversee traditional or ceremonial service elements (e.g., Peking Duck carving, tea rituals).4. Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and schedule front-of-house team.Train staff in fine dining protocols, cultural sensitivity, and guest interaction.Set clear service standards and ensure team accountability.Requirements :
3+ years of experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality.Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, service customs, and guest expectations.Fluent in English; Mandarin or Cantonese proficiency is a strong advantage.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Experience with reservation platforms (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, Resy).Polished appearance, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented.Tell employers what skills you have
