Regional sales manager - $7000 to $14000
The opportunity
We are looking for a Regional sales manager who will lead our sales and business development efforts across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region. You will be responsible for developing and executing end-to-end sales strategies, achieving annual revenue targets, and fostering strong relationships with key clients and partners. This role demands a high-energy, hands-on professional with deep industry insight, the ability to travel across the region, and a proven track record of closing complex technical sales. Job description The Regional Sales Manager is required to identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and secure new calibration and testing contracts for the company. He will also focus on securing contracts, managing client portfolios, and providing leadership to the business development team. Key responsibilities :
1. Sales development
- identify and approach potential clients within assigned territories or market segment.
- prepare and present comprehensive service proposals and quotations
- respond to tenders and requests for quotations within required time frames
- negotiate contract terms within company guidelines
2. Client relationship management
conduct site surveys to assess client requirementsbuild and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing clientsaddress client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionallycollaborate with operations team to ensure smooth completion of contractscollect client feedback and communicate to relevant departmentsmay require occasional evening work for client meetings3. Market research & analysis
monitor market trends and competitor activitiesidentify new market opportunities and potential service offeringsgather intelligence on pricing trends and customer preferencescontribute to the development of sales strategies and approaches4. Administrative duties
maintain accurate records in the company’s systemprepare weekly and monthly sales activity reportsdocument client requirements and contract specificationsmanage sales-related documentation and filing systems5. Key account management
personally manage relationships with major clients and key accountsdevelop account growth strategies for existing clientsoversee contract negotiations for agreementsresolve complex client issues and ensure service excellencecoordinate cross-departmental efforts for key accounts6. Strategic planning & reporting
contribute to the company's strategic planning processprovide regular reports to Director or senior management on sales performanceanalyse competitive landscape and provide strategic insightsrepresent the company at industry events and networking forums10 - 15 years of experience in sales or business development rolesexperience in sales or business development roles for a managerial role.strong understanding of contract terms and negotiation principles7. Regional sales manager for 100 - 150 corporate customers ensuring growth in support from our key customers.develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with key global customers to accomplish growth by providing sustainable solutions.focused on sourcing opportunities and drive development plans converting leads into sales.serve as contact point for key customers and internal teams.be the first to know about customers’ strategies and development plans so that we can align ourselves to their needs.respectfully respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints in an efficient / effective manner.measures, tracks and analyzes key account metrics.all round understanding of the market, the global products offer by customer and competitor; and devise a marketing strategy to better position our product offering to the customers.ownership of revenue and contract management tender negotiations.any other ad hoc tasks as assigned by Director.8. Technical and Quality Knowledge ( essential and / or Added Advantage)
Knowledge in Metrology (Electronic, Electrical, Temperature, Mechanical & Dimensional), Instrumentation, calibrations and Testing.Knowledge of Singapore Accreditation requirements and the scope of accreditations.Knowledge in Troubleshooting techniquesKnowledge in preventive maintenance, calibration and testing ProcessKnowledge in Metrology laboratory practices, calibration data collection, and familiarity with national and international standards is also essential.Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving : Ability to analyse complex technical / quality and compliance issues, identify root causes, and implement practical corrective actions.Knowledge in Calibration quality management software, document control systems, and data analysis tools. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.Interpersonal & Leadership Skills : Ability to lead cross-functional teams, unite staff under the Technical Team, set quality objectives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Must be able to build consensus and manage conflict diplomatically.Ability to work effectively with individuals from varied professional and cultural backgroundsAddress customer complaints and ensure proper investigation and resolution.Communicate quality system updates and compliance status to management and customersWork with technical Leads to ensure test and certification results are accurate and reliable.Manage customer escalations and monitor resolutions to meet expectations.Participate in customer meetings to ensure alignment and satisfaction. Eligibility criteria : ( essential qualifications)Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with at least 15 to 20 years of experience in a mid or senior sales management and business development role, preferably within a similar industry (calibration and testing services).Strong experience leading regional sales development, strong network and knowledge within sectors like aerospace, biomedical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, shipyards, data centres, manufacturing, food & beverage, or environmental engineering.Experience in interfacing and negotiating with senior management or Top level
Strong proven track record in sales, strategy and management.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills — able to influence senior stakeholders and close high-value deals.Highly self-motivated and hands-on — thrives in a startup / scale-up environment with minimal supervision.
Familiar with SAC, iso 9001 and iso 17025 calibration quality system requirements and certifications.Proven success in business and account developmentA proactive and assertive approach with the capacity to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced organisation.Strong computer skills, including microsoft software (eg. Powerpoint, words, excel, etc), crm, etc.Able to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work under pressure.Ability to manage multiple tasks and throughput tasksWill be expected to be involved in the project at Jurong island or overseasMust possess a driving licenceTravel – 100% (local & oversea) within the short notice periodAble to commit to shift hours (6 am to 2 pm), weekends and public holidays.Rotational shift- monday to friday or wednesday to sunday.No weekend off dayWe regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
