Responsibilities
- Source and procure marine equipment, spare parts, provisions, and services for vessels under management.
- Liaise with vessel superintendents, technical teams, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and issue purchase orders.
- Monitor order fulfilment, delivery schedules, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved vendors and service providers.
- Support budgeting and cost control initiatives by analysing procurement data and identifying savings opportunities.
- Assist in vendor audits and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with logistics forwarder for efficient web inventory management.
- Any adhoc tasks as and when assigned.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 2–3 years of procurement experience, preferably in the maritime or ship management industry.Familiar with marine spare parts, consumables, and international shipping logistics.Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.Knowledge of Incoterms, import / export regulations, and maritime compliance standards is a plus.Tell employers what skills you have
