Roles & Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to oversee the daily operations of the claims unit, offering guidance to the team on claims management, policy adherence, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves coaching and mentoring Technical Claims Specialists, and providing technical guidance on complex and high-value claims to ensure effective team performance.
Responsibilities :
Initiate new ideas and concepts to support business plan development.
Supervise the management and settlement of all claims with the team.
Ensure compliance with statutory and corporate service standards.
Maintain good client relationships and respond to critical issues effectively.
Provide technical expertise and mentoring for team development.
Monitor compliance with industry guidelines and policies.
Develop and implement processes for compliance with regulations.
Review and settle problematic cases, authorise payments, and handle complaints.
Plan, manage, and review employee performance.
Continuous business improvement for cost efficiencies and quality service.
Work Experience :
Significant experience in the insurance industry with general insurance knowledge, project and / or process management experience.
Relevant working experience with some in a supervisory role and / or a proven capability to perform the job.
Some experience in a similar role.
Experience with insurance background is an advantage.
Customer service and end-to-end interaction management experience.
