Roles & Responsibilities

• To manage the commercial and cost management aspects for the delivery of theprogramme of investment and planned works.
• To provide commercial and cost management support to the procurement,operations and planning teams.
• To accurately measure and value the works undertaken by the operational teamsand contractors.
• A detailed knowledge of Standard Methods of Measurement as they relate toboth fabric works and Mechanical & Electrical installations would beexpected
• To work with the project management team to manage consultants, contractors,and their supply chain.
• To understand and respect the needs of the end user in respect of buildingimprovement and maintenance.
• To have a knowledge and understanding of the implications of health and safetyregulations
• Assist the designer in reviewing construction plans and preparing quantityrequirements
• Analyse costs for maintenance and additional building needs and then negotiatewith contractors and subcontractors
• Maintain proper documentation for all tenders
• Sourcing of quotations and evaluate quotations received from suppliers and sub-contractors.
