Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
- Engage in planning and maintaining production networks and internet peering strategies.
- Manage networking technologies related to content delivery networks, traffic monitoring, and peering capacity.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues across servers from multiple vendors.
- Coordinate with TAC vendors to resolve hardware-related problems.
- Respond to traffic-related concerns and inquiries from ISPs and partners.
- Handle first-level escalations raised by the team.
- Create and distribute technical and procedural Method of Procedure (MOP) documents to relevant team leads.
- Support troubleshooting of network and traffic peering issues from Layer 1 to Layer 3.
- Analyze data trends and provide reports as needed.
- Attend regular meetings and deliver weekly presentations on network performance and escalation handling.
- Collaborate with ISPs and vendors to resolve network issues.
- Work alongside regional and cross-regional team leads.
- Participate in 24 / 7 global support rotations, including potential weekend shifts.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.Sound judgment in line with established processes and best practices.Solid understanding of network and peering traffic.Familiarity with fiber-optic technologies such as cable and connector types, optics, patch panels, and optical transport systems is a plus.Ability to prepare Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for network or server outages.Strong communication skills to interact with service providers, colocation sites, and ISPs globally.In-depth knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP.Familiarity with DWDM systems from vendors like Ciena, Infinera, and Cisco NCS.Proficient in Layer 1 to Layer 3 troubleshooting.Experience operating in multi-vendor network environments.Relevant network certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP).Specialized knowledge in optical networking is an added advantage.Only shortlisted candidates will be notified
