Roles & Responsibilities
The Senior Social Worker ( Child Protection Specialist Centre ) is responsible for facilitating change and improving the lives of individuals, families, community facing transitional challenges through the provision of direct services.
Conduct group work
- Formulate group work intervention plans
- Evaluate progress and effectiveness of group work interventions across the organisation
- Supervise facilitation of group work interventions
Conduct casework
Review case notes and documentsImplement case and care plans and interventionsFormulate casework intervention plansConduct needs and intake assessments for complex cases by taking into account the integration of a range of informationReview social reportsEvaluate progress and effectiveness of casework interventionsConduct closure of cases upon achieving sustainable service outcomes for clients, families and communitiesPerform community development work
Implement new community development initiativesEvaluate progress and effectiveness of community development initiatives across the organisationDevelop community development initiativesMobilise community resourcesLead environmental scans and community need assessmentsPerform stakeholder engagement and partnerships
Build professional relationships with clients, significant others and other professionalsParticipate in social work practice across disciplinesUplift professional practice in social work
Assist staff in implementing and improving their self-care planOrganise crisis management team with partner organisations and agenciesSupport professional development of staff within the organisationDesign research on practice and specified issues under guidanceReview models of care and service delivery aligned to evidence-based practiceSupervise staff in their workImplement standards of care, organisational health policies, procedures and programmesPerform audits with adherence to organisation's audit frameworkDeliver programmes

Possess Degree in Social Work or Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institutionOther Information
Relevant Experience
At least 5 years of relevant experienceAccredited as Registered Social Worker with Singapore Association of Social Workers would be an advantageCompetencies
