Overview
Senior Assistant Manager, HR CoE Scholarships and Sponsorships at National University Health System. Reporting to the Resourcing Centre of Excellence (CoE) Lead, this role shapes and executes the cluster-level strategy for managing healthcare scholarships and pre-service sponsorship programmes. It combines strategic oversight with operational execution to attract, engage, and develop a future-ready healthcare workforce.
Responsibilities
Lead the administration and implementation of MOHH healthcare scholarships and NUHS pre-service sponsorship programmes across the NUHS cluster, including coordinating with MOHH and institutions for roadshows, scholarship talks, and the Healthcare Scholarship Fair.
Facilitate selection processes with MOHH, including candidate shortlisting and interview coordination, while supporting the projection, allocation, and tracking of scholarship and sponsorship placements across NUHS institutions.
Plan and conduct orientation programmes for new scholars and engagement events for sponsored students, and support key events like the MOHH Healthcare Scholarships Award Ceremony.
Develop and execute outreach strategies to increase take-up rates of pre-service sponsorships, collaborating with institutional HR to ensure a smooth and positive on-site interviews and on-boarding experience for candidates.
Drive the development and refinement of NUHS' cluster-wide sponsorship strategy, aligned with workforce planning needs and ensuring adherence to sponsorship guidelines.
Manage publicity efforts related to the BrightSparks platform and oversee MOHH funding charge-out processes, serving as the key liaison between MOHH and institutions for all scholarship and sponsorship-related matters including coordination and tracking of Career Conversion Programmes (CCP) and Return to Nursing (RTN) initiatives.
Requirements
A recognised degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HR, scholarships / sponsorships management, or student outreach / talent development.
Strong understanding of the healthcare sector and workforce development strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
