As a Regional Category Manager within the Global Sourcing & Procurement organization at Applied Materials, you will serve as a strategic business partner and sourcing expert, driving category excellence across the Facilities and Equipment domain in the Asia Pacific region. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute regional category strategies for Facilities and Equipment, leveraging internal demand insights and external market intelligence. Lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes including RFx development, bid evaluation, and supplier negotiations. Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, translating business needs into sourcing strategies. Utilize tools like SAP SRM, Workday Sourcing, and Tableau to analyze spend and generate actionable insights. Required Skills & Competencies
Procurement Expertise : 5–6 years in indirect procurement, with 3–5 years focused on facilities and construction sourcing. Strategic Thinking : Ability to interpret complex business needs and translate them into actionable sourcing strategies. Contractual Acumen : Proficiency in contract drafting, negotiation, and risk mitigation. Analytical Rigor : Advanced Excel and data visualization skills (Tableau preferred). Communication & Influence : Strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders across functions and geographies. Project Leadership : Proven ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Language Proficiency : Fluent in English and Chinese. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Project Management are advantageous. Travel : Up to 25%. Relocation : Not eligible.
