About Our Client
Our client is a leading global insurance services provider, specialising in complex, commercial and niche markets. They are growing rapidly in Asia, and now look to hire a Senior Business Development Manager to help accelerate their growth, deepen client relationships, and open new markets.
Job Description
Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with the company's global growth ambitions and local market dynamics.Identify, target and win new clients in the region, with a focus on securing complex, high-value mandates.Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision-makers and act as trusted adviser.Conduct market analysis : map competitor offerings, understand client pain-points, identify niches or underserved segments (e.g., aviation, energy & natural resources, E&S lines).Work cross-functionally with service delivery teams (loss adjusting, surveying, forensic consulting) to ensure proposals are tailored, commercially compelling and technically credible.Lead proposal development and presentations, negotiate commercial terms and close deals.Monitor performance of new business wins, ensure client satisfaction, and contribute to retention and upsell efforts.Provide input into go-to-market collateral, thought leadership content and digital campaigns in collaboration with marketing.Track pipeline, forecast revenue, report against targets, and contribute to regional business-planning.The Successful Applicant
Minimum 10 years' business development or client-facing sales experience, ideally within the insurance services, risk consulting, loss adjusting or professional services sectors.Proven track record of winning complex, high-value mandates (multi-jurisdictional, commercial lines) with senior stakeholders.Deep understanding of the insurance ecosystem : carriers, brokers, third-party administrators, loss adjusters, risk managers.Excellent relationship-building, networking and influencing skills.Strong commercial acumen and ability to craft compelling value propositions (technical + commercial).Good analytical and market-intelligence skills (able to identify market gaps and growth opportunities).Self-starter, comfortable in driving strategy and execution in a matrix / global environment.Excellent presentation, negotiation and proposal writing skills.Willingness to travel regionally as required.Preferably tertiary qualification (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Business, Insurance, Finance or relevant discipline.What's on Offer
