The appointee is
expected to play an important role in supporting undergraduate
student mentorship and fieldwork at the Singapore campus which
includes research, research supervision, teaching, and industry
engagement.

Responsibilities :
Contribution to James Cook University's

Teaching a variety of subjects in
Tourism and Hospitality.
Conducting
high-quality and impactful research.
Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students
engaged in course work.
Supervision of
postgraduate research projects.
Engage
industry for student learning and academic research.
Mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate
student.
Research leadership of a research
team (for senior academic position).
Mentorship of junior academic staff (for senior academic
position).
Key
Selection Criteria :
PhD in a discipline related to Tourism and Hospitality.
A substantial publication record relative to career
stage.
Demonstrate the potential for
high-quality research activities, such as success in obtaining
research funding and creating industry impact.
Evidence of quality teaching and supervision of students
at under- and postgraduate levels.
Knowledge
and ability to develop industry networks for research, teaching
& learning and service engagements.
The
ability to teach across a range of subjects related to Tourism and
Hospitality.
Demonstrated ability to establish
and maintain effective relations with colleagues in an academic
environment and with people from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent oral and written communication
skills.
Evidence of academic leadership (for

Employment
type : Fulltime tenure subject to
Ministry-of-Manpower-Singapore jurisdiction and probationary
period.
Remuneration and
conditions : The positions command an appropriate
remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and
experience. All employment salary arrangements are offered in SGD.
Candidates must consider the lower tax structure in Singapore and
the organisational practice of Annual-Wage-Supplement equal to a
month's salary at the end of the calendar year(as eligible) subject
to JCU board's decision.
