Responsibilities :
Quantity Surveyor (QS) :
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and budgets for construction projects.
- Manage tendering processes, including preparing tender documents and evaluating bids.
- Monitor project costs and track variations to ensure the project stays within budget.
- Conduct site measurements and valuations for interim payments and final accounts.
- Liaise with contractors, clients, and consultants on cost-related issues.
- Assist in contract administration, including reviewing contracts and managing claims.
Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) :
Lead the QS team and provide guidance on cost management strategies.Oversee all cost control activities across multiple projects.Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in contract management.Provide advice on cost-effective solutions and potential risks to senior management.Prepare financial reports and cost forecasts for project stakeholders.Requirement :
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Quantity Surveyor requires 3–5 years of experience in cost estimation and contract management.Senior Quantity Surveyor requires 7+ years of experience, including leading QS teams and managing large-scale projects.
