The Head of Technology is a key executive leadership role responsible for defining and executing the overall technology vision, strategy, and roadmap for the company. The Head of Technology will lead and scale our engineering, IT, and cybersecurity teams, ensuring the highest standards of system reliability, security, performance, and innovation. This role requires a deep technical understanding of blockchain technology, large-scale financial systems, cybersecurity, and the ability to drive technological advancements that support rapid business growth in a highly regulated and fast-evolving environment.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities :

• Technology Vision & Strategy : Define and articulate a compelling technology vision and strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, market trends, and regulatory landscape within the cryptocurrency exchange domain.
• Engineering Leadership : Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing engineering and development team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, agile development, and continuous delivery.
• System Architecture & Scalability : Oversee the design, development, and evolution of the exchange's core trading engine, wallet infrastructure, matching systems, API integrations, and overall IT architecture to ensure high availability, ultra-low latency, and extreme scalability.
• Security & Risk Management : Establish and enforce industry-leading cybersecurity protocols, best practices, and disaster recovery plans. Work closely with compliance and risk teams to identify and mitigate technological risks, ensuring the utmost security of user funds and data.
• Infrastructure & Operations : Manage the exchange's technology infrastructure, including cloud deployments, data centers, networks, and operational tools, optimizing for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability (24 / 7 uptime).
• Innovation & Research : Drive R&D efforts, exploring and adopting cutting-edge technologies (e.g., advanced cryptography, Layer 2 solutions, new consensus mechanisms, AI / ML for security / trading) to enhance product offerings and operational efficiency.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner closely with Product, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Business Development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure seamless product delivery and operational efficiency.
• Technical Due Diligence : Conduct technical due diligence on potential partnerships, acquisitions, and new token listings to assess their integration feasibility and security implications.
• Talent Acquisition & Development : Attract, hire, and retain top-tier engineering talent, building a world-class technology organization.
• Budget Management : Manage the technology budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and ROI on technology investments.
• Regulatory Adherence : Ensure all technological developments and operations comply with global and local regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, AML, data privacy, trading regulations).
