Senior Marine Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

We are representing our client in the Shipping industry to look for an experienced Senior Marine Manager. The candidate has to ensure the safe operation and security of the ships he / she has been assigned. He / she will be the link between the senior level and those on board, to monitor the safety and pollution prevention aspects of the operation and to ensure that adequate resources and shore-based support are applied as required.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for verification of the SMS review the quality and effectiveness of the procedure.
• Responsible for incident prevention & investigation including handling / follow up of P&I insurance matters arising out of the incident.
• Responsible for all internal / external audits.
• Responsible for briefing of senior officers.
• Responsible for SMS familiarization on board.
• Assist Vessel Manager.
• Responsible for crew appraisals, emergency response and Safety Meeting & Management Review on board.
• Responsible for implementation of Policies & Procedures as per company SMS.
• Responsible for sharing CP details & ensuring implementation of charter requirements as per CP on board vessel as required.
