Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of all necessary import documentation and declarations, including HBL, MBL, manifest, pre-alerts, customs declarations, and TradeNet operations.
- Perform general shipping duties, including system data entry and maintenance.
- Coordinate shipments and proactively resolve any related issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers, shipping lines, transport teams, trucking partners, and overseas offices to ensure smooth pickup and delivery of shipments.
- Ensure customer requirements are fulfilled, keep customers informed on order status, and maintain precise and accurate documentation.
- Ensure all related charges are billed and collected promptly from consignees or their agents.
- Handle all transactions accurately, completely, and within required timelines.
- Follow up with CFS warehouses and overseas offices regarding any shortlanded, damaged, or discrepant cargo.
- Respond to customer inquiries and manage complaints in a professional manner.
- Prepare payment vouchers, verify vendor costings, close shipment files, and manage document filing.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Liaise with multiple parties—including customers, warehouses, carriers, depots, trucking providers, insurers, and customs agencies—based on shipment requirements.
