Description :
Direct or arrange on-shore services such as supply of
ships' stores and equipment, ship inspections and overhauls, crew
replacements and navigational information for shipping company
vessels arriving in port;
Order ship's stores,
deck and navigation equipment and fuel, for delivery according to
ship master's requirements and arranges for inspections, tests and
overhauls as required by regulations or company
practicesl
Processes and responds to all
marine-related services and repair inspections;
Communicate work details with the department head and
customers, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all repair
services;
Implement and maintain the company's
safety management system(SMS); ensure compliance with applicable
regulations and standards (e.g. ISM code, MARPOL, SOLAS, STCW,
ISPS, ISO 45001;
Conduct safety inspections,
risk assessments, and workplace hazard analyses; development and
monitor corrective and preventive action plans; lead investigations
into accidents, near misses, and incidents, prepare detailed
reports and lessons learned; maintain records of safety performance
and compliance metrics;
Conduct and coordinate
safety inductions, toolbox talks and periodic safety
drills;
Ensure readiness for fire, oil spill,
pollution, medical, and security emergencies;
Conduct internal audits and compliance checks in line
with company policy. Prepare vessles / sites for port state control,
flag state, ISO, and third-party inspections;
Liaise and coordinate with respective government bodies
for smooth vessels operations and turnaround in port related
matters;
Assist the Board of Safety Committee
to handle company safety matters and implement HQ safety
requirements.
Job
Requirements
Master mariner with Class 1 Certificate of Competency
(COC);
At least 3-5 years in maritime
industrial safety management;
Experience with
tankers preferred;
Strong leadership,
negotation, and communication skills;
Effective crisis management and decision-making under
pressure;
Proficient in both written and
spoken English and Chinese as this role needs regular communcate
with Chinese-speaking customers and
stakeholders.
