Role Overview
The Business Development Director will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our construction project pipeline in Singapore and the wider region. A critical aspect of this role is leveraging established relationships in China to facilitate joint ventures, investment partnerships, and cross-border collaboration that strengthen our company’s development and market position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute growth strategies to expand the company’s presence in Singapore and regional construction markets.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities, focusing on partnerships and clients from China.
- Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with Chinese developers, investors, contractors, and government-linked entities.
- Lead negotiations and deal structuring for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business development strategies with company objectives and operational capabilities.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitor activities in Singapore and China.
- Represent the company at industry forums, exhibitions, and trade events in both Singapore and China.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).Minimum 10 years of business development experience in the construction or infrastructure industry.Strong track record of securing large-scale projects and partnerships, especially with Chinese stakeholders.Well-established network with Chinese developers, contractors, and investors.Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential.Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-cultural business environment.Tell employers what skills you have
