Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain a self-starter attitude while process sales transactions and providing excellent customer service
- Anticipate needs by greeting customers promptly and assessing their requests in a busy environment
- Support senior sales clerks by completing sales according to established policies and procedures and be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Attend product training meetings and develop an understanding of all the company's products
- Monitor and organize inventory while effectively marketing new products and merchandising products for sale
- Collaborate with sales teams in weekly meetings by bringing a friendly, can-do attitude, and practice reliable and punctual attendance
- Exceed weekly and monthly sales projections while advising customers on buying options and add-on sales
- Perform all duties as assigned by lead sales manager while exhibiting the capability to get along with others
Qualifications for Sales Clerk
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with a valid driver's license and clean driving recordMust be able to travel to other retail locations within a 50-mile radius and capability to maintain a clean driving recordWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows or the ability to learn new software quicklyDemonstrated ability to stoop, bend, and kneel frequently, and the ability to be on your feet for eight hours during one work shiftHave a strong work ethic and are eager to learn and make new sales with customers, including up-selling and add-on sellingBe strongly skilled in organization, problem-solving, customer service, and multitasking while being committed to excellenceHave product knowledge before your start date and willing to begin as a part-time sales clerkMust wear professional attire while on the sales floor and commit to the high standards the company has put forthHave a background that shows dependability, a love of closing deals, and that customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to youTell employers what skills you have
