Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational health, security, and performance of our enterprise network. You will go beyond routine maintenance to proactively optimize our network infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement robust security solutions. This is a hands-on technical position ideal for someone who is passionate about network technologies and thrives in a challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Network Operations & Administration : Provide Tier 2 / 3 operational support, administration, and ensure the stability of the entire network and security infrastructure, adhering to agreed service levels (SLA).
- Design & Implementation : Collaborate on network projects to design, configure, and deploy new hardware and software solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network access control systems.
- Proactive Monitoring & Performance : Monitor network performance, analyze statistics and traffic patterns, and perform fine-tuning to ensure optimal speed, reliability, and availability.
- Security & Compliance : Manage and configure firewall policies (Palo Alto, Check Point), Intrusion Prevention / Detection Systems (IPS / IDS), and Network Access Control (NAC) via Aruba ClearPass to maintain a secure network posture.
- Troubleshooting & Incident Management : Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex network incidents, providing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
- Maintenance & Documentation : Execute scheduled network maintenance activities and create detailed documentation for network configurations, processes, and reports.
Qualifications & Required Skills :
Experience : 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise environment.Core Networking : Proven expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting :
Routers & Switches : Cisco Catalyst / Nexus and Alcatel OmniSwitch series.
Network Protocols : Deep understanding of TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and QoS.
Security Infrastructure : Hands-on experience with :
Next-Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto Networks & Check Point).
Intrusion Prevention / Detection Systems (IPS / IDS).
Network Access Control (NAC), specifically Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) .
Additional Technologies : Experience with F5 Load Balancers, Wireless APs, and Bandwidth Management is highly desirable.Certifications : A relevant certification such as Cisco CCNA / CCNP or equivalent is required.Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Tell employers what skills you have
