Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description :
- Develop accurate and detailed 3D BIM models of ACMV systems, including ductwork, piping, equipment, and components, based on engineer's drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Model complex geometries and assemblies while adhering to project standards and BIM execution plans.
- Generate shop drawings, sections, and details from the model for fabrication, installation, and coordination.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other disciplines to ensure design integrity and resolve clashes effectively.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings to identify and resolve potential conflicts between different building systems.
- Utilize clash detection software (e.g., Navisworks) to identify and resolve clashes early in the design process.
Job Responsibilities :
Embed relevant data into the model such as material specifications, manufacturer details, installation instructions, and maintenance schedules.Maintain model integrity and consistency throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring it remains up-to-date with the latest revisions.Generate reports and schedules from the model, including material takeoffs, equipment lists, and construction sequencing.Possess a strong understanding of ACMV principles, including ventilation rates, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.Be proficient in relevant BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage.Stay updated with the latest BIM standards and technologies and assist with the preparation of as-built drawings.Provide technical support to the project team and contribute to the development and implementation of BIM workflows.Take on mentorship responsibilities for new BIM Modellers, guiding them on best practices, software usage, and project-specific requirements.Ensure adherence to project standards, BIM guidelines, and contribute to continuous process improvement.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient BIM integration across various project phases.Actively participate in identifying and resolving design or coordination conflicts, ensuring overall project efficiency.Provide feedback on BIM standards, tools, and practices to enhance overall team productivity and project outcomes.Skills and Qualification :
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as an ACMV BIM modeller or a similar role.Proficiency in Revit MEP and other related BIM software. Strong understanding of ACMV design principles and standards.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Strong independence and good communication in EnglishAdvantages / Remunerations
